Forging Industry in the Void: The Manufacturing Path

In EVE Frontier, survival isn’t about brute force; it’s about mastering the cycle of mining, processing, and manufacturing. Veterans know industry is the backbone of progress.

Your Starter Lifelines

Every vessel awakens with an Emergency Printer and Emergency Processor. These let you process ore and print basic gear directly from your ship. They’re quick fixes - perfect for early ventures, but don’t expect them to carry you through the deeper void.

Scaling Up with Deployables

Frontier punishes stagnation. Relying on emergency tools slows you down. That’s why you need Deployables. Drop them anywhere in space but remember they need power. Anchor a Network Node first; it’s the energy source for your assemblies. Once active, you can expand with Refineries and Printers to build a true industrial backbone.

Step 1: Refining Ores into Materials

Raw ore is useless until refined. Deploy a Refinery at your base to process your haul. Frontier offers tiers of refinement:

  • Refinery – Your industrial upgrade for better efficiency.
  • Heavy Refinery – The apex of ore processing, handling complex ores with maximum throughput.

Drag ore into the Input Slot, start the job, and watch it transform into refined materials; your foundation for manufacturing.

Step 2: Starting Your Manufacturing Jobs

With refined materials ready, it’s time to craft. Manufacturing runs on Schemas; selectable production plans that define what you’re building. Once chosen, deposit the required materials into the assembly, and the Production Job begins.

  • Printers scale your output:
  • Mini Printer – Quick essentials, efficient at your base.
  • Printer – Unlocks a wider range of items.
  • Heavy Printer – Produces advanced, high-tier gear.

Schemas make it clear: select, supply, and produce. No cluttered inventory pinning; just direct control over what you’re building and how.

Build Fast, Scale Smart

Flexibility is your ally. You can withdraw materials mid-job if plans change, giving you room to adapt without wasting resources. The faster you anchor a Network Node and set up proper Refineries and Printers, the faster you’ll evolve from scraping ore to commanding industry. In Frontier, efficiency isn’t just progress; it’s survival.
