LogLite Tool

The LogLite tool is a lightweight diagnostic utility included with the EVE Frontier client. It allows players and support teams to capture real-time logs that help identify issues such as crashes, freezes, performance drops, UI problems, or unexpected client behavior. These logs are often essential when submitting bug reports or working with the Player Experience Team.

What LogLite Does

LogLite records a live stream of client activity, including:

  • Network calls and API requests

  • UI and graphics events

  • Errors and warnings triggered by the client

  • Internal diagnostic messages

  • Information related to crashes

This information makes it significantly easier to pinpoint the root cause of technical problems.

How to Open LogLite

You can launch LogLite directly from the EVE Frontier launcher:

  1. Open the EVE Frontier Launcher.

  2. Click the ‘Cog Wheel’ menu (top-right corner).

  3. Select Tools Run LogLite.

  4. LogLite will open in a separate window and begin displaying real-time logs.

How to Use LogLite

Start Logging Before Reproducing an Issue

If you’re troubleshooting a specific problem, open LogLite before launching the client and leave it running while you reproduce the issue in-game.

Save the Log File

After capturing the issue:

  • Click File → Save As.

  • Save the .log file to a convenient location.

  • Attach it to your bug report or support ticket.

Why LogLite Is Useful

  • Bug Reporting: Support teams and developers rely on LogLite logs to investigate issues quickly and accurately.

  • Real-Time Problem Tracking: Helps players spot recurring errors or warnings before submitting a report.

When to Use LogLite

Use LogLite when you experience:

  • Game crashes or freezes

  • Display or graphics glitches

  • Network disconnections or unexpected lag

  • UI bugs or missing elements

  • Launcher-to-client communication issues

  • Any issue you plan to report through the in-game bug report system

Submitting Logs

Include your LogLite file when submitting a bug report or support ticket, along with:

  • A description of what happened

  • When it happened

  • Steps to reproduce

  • Any related screenshots or DxDiag reports if requested

This greatly improves the speed and accuracy of troubleshooting.
