UI Breakdown

The Frontier is a vast and rugged expanse. To help you navigate its challenging environment, the game offers a range of features designed to support you on your journey.

The Main HUD

The heads-up display has a darker, more immersive aesthetic that keeps your focus on the action while providing all critical information at a glance.

Tutorial Overview

On the top-left corner of your screen, you'll find your Tutorial Overview. This panel tracks your progression through the tutorial, showing completed objectives and upcoming tasks. From here, you can either Skip or Restart your Tutorial at any time.

Chat Channel

On the top-right corner of your screen, you'll find your Chat Channels. You can check your Local, Corp, and Personal conversations here. The tabbed interface lets you switch between channels easily, and system messages keep you informed of important events like channel changes.

Flight Management

In the middle of the screen, you'll find your Ship's Velocity Vector, along with your Pitch Angle and Yaw Angle, these determine the direction and angle your ship is traveling through the void. The vertical bar on the left ranges from MAX down to 0 M/S, with your current velocity burning orange under forward thrust and shifting to white when reversing.

Capacitor Meter

On the bottom-right corner, above your Hardpoint Slots, you'll find your Capacitor Meter, which shows how much capacitor your ship currently has. When the capacitor runs out, your ship won't be able to perform actions such as mining, shooting, or using the afterburner.

Hardpoint Slots

Just below your Capacitor Meter are the Hardpoint Slots; numbered 1 through 6. This is where you equip your Scanners, Cutting Laser, and projectile weapons. You can activate modules by clicking their slot or using customizable keyboard shortcuts.

Ship Stats

On the bottom-left side, you'll find your Ship Stats. Here you can see:
  • Fuel Capacity - your current fuel level
  • Shell VIT - your clone shell's health
  • Ship HP - your ship's structural health
  • EXT (External Heat) - temperature outside your ship
  • INT (Internal Heat) - temperature inside your ship

Selection Options

Once you come across a Structure or Interactable entity in Frontier Space, you get the following options:

  • Approach: Aligns your ship toward the selected object.
  • Lock Target: Locks your target so you can perform necessary actions such as mining an asteroid or engaging enemies.
  • Interact: Engages directly with the selected entity for contextual actions. (Applicable for personal structures)
  • Show Info: Opens a detailed information window with the object's description and attributes.
  • Set Destination: Marks the object as your navigation destination.
  • Align to: Align your ship toward the target without initiating warp.
  • Add waypoint: Adds the object to your waypoint list for route planning.
  • Dismantle to Cargo Container: Breaks down the structure into a cargo container for transport. (Applicable for personal structures)
  • Publish Assembly Location: Shares the location of this assembly with others. (Applicable for personal structures)
  • Bring Online: Activates a dormant structure or module. (Applicable for personal structures)

Warp

When interacting with distant structures or stargates, you have several warp and navigation options:

  • Warp to Within 0 m: Warp to the target and arrive at 0 meters distance.
  • Warp to Within: Warp to the target with a customizable arrival distance.
  • Add as First Waypoint: Sets this target as your primary navigation point.
  • Set Destination: Marks the target as your final destination.
  • Add Waypoint: Adds the target to your route without changing your final destination.
Note: Warping consumes Capacitor energy, which is restored using fuel; so always carry enough before heading out to explore or cause chaos.

Jettison

Jettison allows you to eject any item from your ship inventory out into space. Head over to the inventory tab, right-click on the item, and select Jettison. This proves useful for temporary storage or transferring items to other pilots.
