The wallet that's used in EVE Frontier is known as the EVE Vault. EVE Vault houses your Tokens and allows you to link your character’s account to player-made Dapps. It is currently available for browsers and mobile devices. It's also accessible on vault.evefrontier.com
The economy of EVE Frontier is designed to allow for real-world value to be exchanged for in-game value and vice versa. A community-driven dynamic economy allows you to create custom currencies, establish markets, and convert digital to real-world value. Trade assets, services, and reputation in a truly open free-market environment.
To support this free-market approach, EVE Frontier will have a range of in-game currencies available, all of which are built on ERC-20 token standards. The basic tokens and currencies that would be available are:
- LUX: used for in-game transactions. For example, LUX can be used to purchase things from the in-game market, station services, trades between players, etc.
- EVE Token: a utility token that can be exchanged as a means of value and to obtain additional Mining Lenses. The EVE Token will exist on a test environment until it has undergone rigorous testing and meets our standards related to economy design, usage, performance, security and transaction speed.
How do I recover my wallet if I have forgotten my 12-word recovery phrase
Are you facing a situation where you have lost access to your 12-word Recovery Phrase? Unfortunately, CCP Games does not keep any information on any user wallets or Recovery Phrases, so we won’t be able to assist with wallet recovery.
The only option to recover your recovery phrase is if you still have access to your game. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Open the EVE Vault within the game
-
Under the cog wheel in the wallet window, select the View recovery phrase
IMPORTANT: Do not lose your recovery phrase. Without it, you could permanently lose access to your wallet and your digital assets. We recommend storing it somewhere safe (e.g., a password manager).
If you log into your account on another computer, you'll need the recovery phrase to access your digital assets there! - This brings up a window with the 12-word recovery phrase for your wallet. Copy that with the Click to copy
- Now, click the Import wallet section at the bottom part of the EVE Vault
- Paste your recovery phrase into the text area and confirm
- You'll then be asked for a password for locking the EVE Vault since now it has some inventory (the wallet you just added), select a password (and don't forget it or keep it safe somewhere)
- Now you should see EVE Token and GAS(ETH) in your wallet in the EVE Vault
